Description
The driving forces behind world history are non-physical forces that manifest as human thoughts, ideas, feelings and willpower – both conscious and subconscious – which are expressed in external human behaviors and historic events. History studies external events and to some extent the inner life of people, but not the driving forces of life.
The physicalist framework of thought that has been dominant in academia since 1850 has hitherto excluded any connection to the non-physical spiritual realm. Now that multiple scientific disciplines, from physics to psychology, are providing evidence of the relative triviality of external, observable reality, the physicalist scientific realm is reconnecting with spiritual science in a new, profound way.
In academic historical research, spiritual science alone can provide the much needed context that can lead to a true understanding of world history and the evolution of humanity.
